Base Unit Warranty Information

Taylor Technologies has three aims for the WiseLAB® for sureTRACK® Test Strips:

  • To support your store in both preventing and resolving water quality problems in your customers’ pools and spas;
  • To increase the sales of water treatment products by helping you explain to your customers the reason(s) for treatment and the repercussions of not treating the water quality issue(s) appropriately; and
  • To help establish you as an expert pool/spa professional by providing complete technical support for our products, including the test strips and liquid test kits we’ve developed specifically for residential pool/spa owners’ use between visits to your store.

Toward these ends we pledge to do whatever is necessary to assure our continued mutual success.

In the first year of ownership, if you experience any problem with the WiseLAB base unit that is not the result of misuse, please call 800-TEST KIT (837-8548) to arrange for its return and replacement  at no cost to you. You must call for a Return Authorization number as returns without proper documentation will be refused.

In years two through five of ownership, if you experience any problem with the WiseLAB base unit that is not the result of misuse, please call 800-TEST KIT (837-8548) to arrange for its return and replacement with either a new unit or a refurbished unit if one is available, at your discretion. Your cost will be limited to shipping (both ways) and either $150 for a new lab base or $100 for a refurbished lab base. You must call for a Return Authorization number as returns without proper documentation will be refused. 

NOTE: Staining of the lab’s membrane and powder-coated metal surfaces will occur if drips of reagent or other spills are not wiped up promptly with a damp cloth or removed with a non-abrasive cleanser. Staining as a result of poor housekeeping is not covered under this warranty.

Regarding Test Strips

Test strips are fresh when they leave our manufacturing plant and will remain effective through the expiration date stamped on the product label. As with other perishables, test strips must be kept under controlled environmental conditions at all times. Please follow these rules for storage:

  • Limit exposure to air and humidity; keep strips dry before use
  • Keep fingers away from reagent pads
  • Resecure bottle cap after dispensing a strip
  • Do not store near drums or bags of treatment chemicals
